Either to age us really fast or keep us feeling young, we gave into the pleadings of a young boy's heart and got a dog.
A Miniature Goldendoodle named Trigger.
And multiple times a day when I find myself cursing my foolish heart, it takes only one tender moment between boy and dog to make it worth it once again.
But to all those out there thinking of getting a puppy, think it over good and long!
