I was a thumb sucker until I was five years old, even after several attempts on my parents' part to break me of the habit (including the horrifying experience of not getting my ears pierced...2 or 3 times I think) I kept on sucking. Ezra takes a pacifier, although lately he has been pulling it out and has begun to chew on his hands, or thumb, or arm, or blanket. I think he is beginning to prefer chewing to sucking, which has caused some slight complications while I am nursing, but at least he is happy. He is also sitting up unassisted, although slightly hunched, yet the gleam of accomplishment can be seen in his eyes.
