On Monday and Tuesday we journeyed to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a little rest and relaxation...although we found no rest or relaxation...we did enjoy seeing some sights and playing on the beach.
There are a handful of things in life that I consider to be magical, a lighthouse is one of those things. So we could not leave the Outer Banks without visiting one of its several lighthouses...The Bodie Island Lighthouse.
We also made a stop in Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk to see where flight first began...Andy and I enjoyed reading about the Wright Brothers, Soren was disappointed that this museum didn't have anything to play on like the Children's Museum we go to here, sorry Soren.
And of course the beach! The winds were crazy and the temperature cool so our fun in the sun never happened, but we had a ball getting shells and building sand castles for the boys to step on.
Ezra would run right into the water and then turn and run away as a wave came, often tumbling down and getting drenched in the wave, but he would get right back up to do it once more.
Soren was a little skeptical of the ocean's expanse and the size of the waves, so he stayed close to Mom and Dad.

Oh that sounds like a fun getaway. I guess the forecast for this weekend would not make you want to visit this weekend. Glad you could get something fun in.
Glad to see that you are getting all your travel in during the 3rd year! By the way, how did the boys do with b-ball tickets this year??
so cute! And what fun pictures.
