Due to extremely cold temperatures, wind chills around -20, school was cancelled today!!!!
And as I have been listening to my children, who have been caught up in playing "store" for the past (I kid you not) 5 hours, with a cash register we got them for Christmas a couple of years ago, I feel thankful that 9 1/2 years ago I listened to my loving husband when he suggested we forgo the whole TV/videogame/computer game thing in our home. We use screen time to teach or have fun as a family. And I feel strongly that because we made that choice we have these 5+ hour play a thon days when watching a show or playing on the computer aren't even considered. It has been SO worth it!
