Conquering Fears
Looking at this picture you might ask yourself how is this one different from the other swimming pool pictures that have been posted. Well the answer to that my friends is that Soren is actually in the water. My Soren is in many ways fearless... jumping off the kitchen table, jumping down four, five stairs at a time...climbing anything he can...yet he does not like the water. he would much prefer to play with the water rather than in the water. Today that changed...after being forced into the water by his mom Soren slowly warmed up to the weightless feeling he was experiencing. After that he was in the pool moving and swimming around (on the stairs) but hey it is more than he has ever done! Welcome to the concept of a swimming pool son, come on in, the water is great!

Becket is your blood brother! He was exactly like that last year dripping beads of sweat on the side of the pool. He now thinks he is Gretchen's personal swim coach. I could not be more excited for Soren. I completely understand the woes of a child not joining in the fun. Please give him a huge hug from us.
